Matthews is the Music Advisor for Mastertude. He complements the Mastertude education system by bringing his vast experience of 46 years as a professional in music education, along with his contemporary goals and foresight.

As well as being the Director and Founder of Australia's prestigious St. Cecilia School of Music, Matthews is a violinist and classical guitar teacher, orchestral conductor, music examiner, adjudicator, and public speaker.

​

Through the St. Cecilia Examination board, Matthews adds value to the Polymath film duology and game by providing Mastertude students with the opportunity to undertake music exams and assessments in order to achieve real-world accredited certification.

​

Matthews gained his music qualifications through Trinity College London, Australian Guild of Music & Speech, University of Tasmania and the Australian Society of Musicology and Composition. His qualifications include FAIM, FAGM, L.Mus.TCL, ATCL, HonSCSM, F.Mus.ASMC, FNSMN.

​

St. Cecilia School of Music (SCSM) and the St. Cecilia Examinations system were established by Matthews in 1974. The school has grown to become one of Australia’s largest music institutions, with SCSM examinations offered throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Europe.

Matthews has adjudicated festivals and competitions worldwide.
